Nate is rapidly weakening!

As of 7:00 am CDT, TS Nate is currently located at 32.0N 88.0W, about 50 miles ESE of Meridian, MS and 95 miles WSW of Montgomery, AL. Nate has max sustained winds of 45 MPH, and is moving NNE at 23 MPH, with a min central pressure of 944 MB. The storm surge warning W of the MS/AL border is discontinued as has the TS warning W of the AL/FL border. A storm surge warning remains in effect from about Gulf Shores to the Okaloosa/Walton county line in the Florida Panhandle. The TS warning remains in effect from Gulf Shores to Indian Pass, FL. Water levels in Pensacola and Mobile Bay are about 3.5′ above normal, presently. 

Expect a turn to the NE and an increase in forward speed in the coming days, as Nate heads through the Deep South into Tennessee and the Appalachians. Nate will continue to dump 3-10″ of rain through Monday.
